Before the lefties who read this blog start sending in 20 paragraph spit-flying comments (which will be perused and deleted by me without ever seeing print), I want to make this clear: I know Obama put out a formal (and scripted) Memorial Day statement. It was boiler plate, and he didn't mean a damned word of it.
How the Current Resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue really feels was betrayed by his visit to Hiroshima, Japan, where he expressed regret that the United States had exploded an atomic bomb over that city in 1945.
"Death fell from the sky" Obama intoned. REALLY? REALLY, YOU PIECE OF GARBAGE? WHAT THE HELL FELL OUT OF THE SKY OVER HONOLULU ON DECEMBER 7TH 1941?? POSIES?
Are you aware that every Purple Heart given out in every war from Korea through Vietnam up to the present day was manufactured in 1945 in anticipation of all the combat wounded we would suffer if we invaded the Japanese home islands?
Are you aware that the Japanese had been told that every civilian should make least a bamboo spear? To ready themselves for suicide attacks? Bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki with nukes was the most merciful thing we could have done TO BOTH SIDES.
We already have enough dead to remember this Memorial day without the Current Resident expressing his regret that we used a nuclear weapon to try and ensure we didn't have MORE guys who, as a member of my old regiment (24th Security Police, Panama) expressed it: "Didn't make the barbecue" on this Memorial Day.
If one of you readers has a loved one or friend who "didn't make the barbecue", may God bless and keep you. He or she died so we could enjoy our open, free society and all the blessings of America.
As it has been said:
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
